Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Chapel
Thrivent Financial’s management wanted an entry feature to symbolize its spiritually-based business and greet employees and visitors as they enter the Minneapolis headquarters building. The design converted a library into a highly visible chapel with a design that includes rounded Venetian plaster forms that complement the travertine marble lobby, yet contrast its angularity. Translucent, wave-patterned artistic glass separates the room’s occupants from the public. The chapel’s entry vestibule has custom designed, hand-crafted red glass, and a solitary, rustically cast bronze cross is centered in the space.
