Duty Free Americas Shops – Miami International Airport

Duty Free Americas (DFA), the Western Hemisphere’s largest duty-free retailer, operates 150 duty free stores and international brand boutiques at major airports and border crossings worldwide. When implementing the new DFA store concept in North America, LEO A DALY collaborated closely with the concept’s original architect to transition seamlessly from one design firm to the other, as well as from schematic design to implementation.

This new high-end image for the US market was first launched at Miami International Airport, Terminal H. The stores feature an enclosed storefront, allowing smaller framed views into the stores and large, recessed mounted monitors displaying enticing graphics to passing consumers. The interiors are departmentalized, with each area having its own distinct finishes and materials emphasizing the merchandising zones.
