Roark, who leads our Washington, D.C., studio’s Federal market sector, is an architect with 20 years of experience delivering federal, cultural, leisure and entertainment, mixed-use, aviation, industrial, commercial and residential projects. He is an experienced leader of diverse teams of professionals, in all project phases, for a variety of clients, project types, complexities, budgets and delivery methods, including design-bid-build, design-build and fast-track.

Roark brings extensive experience in the role of principal and program manager for multiple programs and projects both internationally and domestically. From a new theme park in Beijing, China, worth more than $1 billion and renovations to a U.S. Embassy in Burkina Faso, Africa, to IDIQ contracts for the Smithsonian Institution, General Services Administration and US Army Corps of Engineers, Roark is adept at the management of complex, high-risk and high-profile endeavors.
